Stendhal Games, the indie studio behind the highly anticipated action role-playing game Arcanima: Mist of Oblivion, has announced that the game will be part of the select group of games offering an exclusive demo during Steam Next Fest in February 2024. Steam Next Fest is a multi-day celebration where fans can try out demos, chat with developers, watch live streams, and discover upcoming games on Steam.
Arcanima: Mist of Oblivion is a game that combines Hack N Slash combat with JRPG elements in a dynamic experience based on the concept of ‘Anima’, the ability to manifest supernatural powers through will and self-awareness. The game puts players in the shoes of Juno, an anima user who infiltrates the Citadel of Indomita, a flying island surrounded by a multicolored mist known as the ‘Mist of Oblivion’, to face Raj, an irregular user who challenges the dogma of La Sizigia.
The game promises to offer a unique character creation system based on psychological typology, a mixed combat system that alternates between real-time and turn-based, a deep and emotional story, a world full of places to discover and puzzles to solve, and an alternative and stylized artistic style.
